Cancellation policy
How to cancel an ongoing project or service with Hackgenix, notice periods, and what happens to work in progress.
Last updated 4 September 2026
You may cancel an ongoing project or service by giving us written notice. This policy explains what happens when you do.
How to cancel
Send written notice to info@hackgenix.com stating your project reference and the intended cancellation date. Notice takes effect on the date we acknowledge it.
Notice periods
- Fixed-scope projects: cancellation may be requested at any time. Work completed to the cancellation date is invoiced.
- Monthly retainers: thirty days written notice. The current month is payable in full.
- Dedicated resources: thirty days written notice per the hiring agreement.
Work in progress
On cancellation we complete or safely stop work in progress, invoice for work done to that point, and hand over all completed deliverables, source code and credentials once the final invoice is settled.
Cancellation by us
We may cancel where payment is materially overdue after written notice, where required information is not provided over an extended period, or where the work would require us to act unlawfully. We give reasonable notice and hand over completed work.
Refunds
Any refund following cancellation is handled under our refund policy.
