The challenge

Reviewing in-store merchandising across a large franchise network meant either flying people to locations or working from photographs that never quite showed the relationship between fixtures. Decisions about placement were being made on partial information, and rollout errors were only discovered after installation.

What we built

We built a navigable 3D reconstruction of the store that runs in a browser with no install. Fixtures, shelving and product placement are modelled to scale, so a reviewer can walk the space, look along a sightline and judge whether a placement works from where a customer actually stands. Assets are streamed progressively so the experience opens quickly on ordinary office connections.

What changed

Regional teams can now review a proposed layout together from different cities in a single call, and placement decisions are made against a shared, accurate view of the space rather than a set of photographs.
